Dream, there's an 18 hole course across the road from TwinsAcres (The Lost Creek Golf
Course) www.lostcreekgc.com . The course offers a discount to Registered Guests at TwinsAcres. Sugarloaf Mountain,
about 2 minutes away, Easy climb but a little tricky getting to the top between the cervice in the rocks.
The view from atop the mountain is worth the climb, don't forget your camera on this climb.
The Little Red River for some record breaking trout or taking a canoe ride down the river.
You'll need to know when they are generating the dam for a better trip. Call the Welcome Center for that information.
The Greers Ferry Lake http://www.greersferrylake.org for scuba diving, skiing, boating, sailing,fishing, jet skiing, picnicing along the 60 mile
lake stretch of Beautiful Scenic Sites or just take a swim in the clear blue water. For
the cliff lovers, great diving areas all around the lake.
Spring Park with it's 7 mineral springs. People really drink the water and love it. Nice
play ground for the younger children or just take your walks on the sidewalks going thru the park.
Mossy Bluff Trail & Buckeye Trail at the Dam Site Welcome Center. Pretty easy walk with
beautiful views. Mossy Bluff is 1.6 miles round trip and includes a stop at a scenic over-look of the Dam and the Fish
Hatchery. Buckeye Trail (660 feet) from the Welcome Center is paved and handicapped accessible. Spring and Fall offers
the best views. Summer is beautiful green trees and flowing creeks.
John F. Kennedy Memorial Park at the Dam, there's also a trail, Collins Creek, on that side
of the Dam that leads to a waterfall. Includes a catch-and-release trout fishing area for youngsters. Fishing is restricted
to youths under 16. For complete rules, contact the AGF at 1-800-364-4263.
Josh Park Memorial Trail- This trail is used by cross country runners, joggers, and bikers. It stretches
a total of 6,485 ft. with shorter trails ranging from 550-886 ft. Located off HWY 25B North just before crossing the Greers
Ferry Dam.
Big Creek Natural Area- Off HWY 110 near Wilburn. A rugged 2.4 miles of trails. Nature Study, hunting
and fishing are permitted. 200 ft. bluffs and 3.5 miles of Big Creek. For most information , call 501-324-9619.
Many places offer classes to learn the art of fly fishing or offers guide service to find where the fish are
hiding.
The Fish Hatchery is very interesting to both adults and children. My grandchildren love
to see the different size trout. Located just north of the dam off HWY 25. Open daily 7am -3pm. 30 minute self

Sandy Beach to build a sand castle or cool off during the summer heat. Jeff Anderson Memorial
Trail- Near Sandy Beach at the end of Front St. this is also a bike trail, no motorized vehicles. The path
winds its way through the woods along the shoreline of Greer's Ferry Lake.

Swan Sightings: Hays Road, Heber Springs. This was my daughter's, Michelle, favorite place to visit
while in Heber. See Trumpeter swans on a sanctuary (on a private 674-acre farm, with 23 acre lake that you may access from
Hays Road to catch a view of this beautiful sight) Usually the birds us this point as a mid-west wintering ground. They arrive
early Nov. and stay until early Mar.
